Job opening:
Front-end Developer

We’re a small SaaS startup based in the heart of the Copenhagen startup scene. We help more than 200.000 users world-wide keep a Mileage Logbook. We try to automate and simplify all the trivial work around tracking, classifying and creating the mileage documentation - ready to hand-over to their employer.

The Driversnote platform is based on a Mobile App build in React Native and a Web App & backend build in Ruby on Rails.

We’re very product-focused with a profound focus on continuously listening to and learning from our users, and are always trying to improve the product to create an even better and more seamless experience for our users.

We’re looking to expand our team with 3-6 people over the next year, so you’ll be an essential part of a small team at a very exciting stage.

Who are you?

You take pride in creating clean, accessible, responsive and fast user interfaces that are easy to use and to write code that is well-structured and easy to understand.

You’ll be building the front-end of both the web app (React.js on top of Ruby on Rails) and the mobile app build in React Native. You will be working closely together with our UI/UX designer and the Mobile and Rails (backend) developers.

You must have:

  • 2+ years experience building front-end JavaScript apps

  • 5+ years experience with the basic web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, HTTP, etc)

  • Experience building responsive website optimized for speed

  • A detail-oriented and structured approach that ensures consistent layout/styling.

  • Experience with Flexbox and Bootstrap

We would love if you might have:

  • Experience working with React.js or React Native and have written components using JSX

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails (maybe using SCSS and HAML)

  • Tried composing and testing HTML mails

  • Knowledge about SVG and HTML animations

  • And you strive to create beautiful, user-friendly UI and have maybe tried doing user tests or other kinds of UX research

What do we offer?

We have a relaxed work environment, flat hierarchy, flexible work hours and strongly believe that it should be fun to go to work. We’re located in the heart of Copenhagen, in Matrikel1, the most ambitious co-working space for tech startups in Denmark, where you can network with other startups and plenty of cool like-minded people.

The position is either fulltime or freelance. We would prefer full-time but are flexible if you think you are the right candidate.
